Our client, a Distribution company in the alcoholic Sector is looking to Recruit. The potential candidate will be able to deliver excellent customer
service, have a strong knowledge of beverages, and have the ability to create a fun and engaging atmosphere for guests.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to client requests and event needs.
• Mix and garnish cocktails following standard recipes or customer preferences.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at the bar station and provide exceptional service to all guests.
• Handle customer complaints and issues promptly, escalating to the Supervisor if necessary.
• Monitor bar inventory levels and notify the Supervisor of any shortages or stock needs.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of the bar area before and after events.
• Ensure all beverages and bar supplies are stored and transported safely and securely.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently, using POS systems or cash registers and keep track of all transactions.
• Adhere to all legal regulations and company policies regarding the serving of alcohol.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of both staff and guests.
• Any other duty that may be assigned.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE
• Diploma/Certificate in a Business-related course; KCSE mean grade of C plain with a D+ in Mathematics and D+ plain in English.
• Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and other beverages.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision and High level of integrity and responsibility.
• Excellent records maintenance and reporting skills & Self-organized individual with cash handling and numeracy skills.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., kegs, boxes of supplies) as required
